Inclusive Education is a response to the needs of children with diverse and varied learning needs. The Shri Ram School acknowledges the needs of these special children and endeavors to provide opportunities for inclusive education and vocational operation for children who have difficulty in coping with the regular curriculum but do not require the facilities of a special school.

 

Job Description: 

  • At the Elementary and Junior School level (Ladpur): 

The candidate is required to address a wide spectrum of special needs in children, particularly autism, ADHD, hearing and speech impairment, visual impairment and learning difficulties in the age group of 4 to 11 years, in an integrated classroom. ?The candidate should be able to help children transact the regular mainstream curriculum in the regular classroom or in smaller group settings, keeping in mind the individual student’s specific learning needs. The candidate is fully responsible for the development of a comprehensive Individual Educational Programme (IEP) for all students in his or her class in the areas of cognitive, social, emotional and functional development.

  • At the Middle and Senior School level (Ladpur): 

The candidate is required to address a wide spectrum of special needs in children, particularly ADHD, hearing and speech impairment, visual impairment, and learning difficulties inthe age group of 11 to 15 years in an integrated classroom. Teachers will need to liaise with the mainstream teachers for partial or whole integration of students and be fully responsible for the successful transaction of the curriculum both in the regular classroom or in smaller or remedial group settings as the case may be. The candidate is fullyresponsible for the development of a comprehensive Individual EducationalProgramme (IEP) for all students in his or her class in the areas of Cognitive,Social, Emotional and Functional Development.

  • Desired profile of the candidate:

The candidate should be a graduate or post graduate in anydiscipline and trained as Special Educator from a recognized institution. He orshe should preferably be registered with the Rehabilitation Council of India.The candidate should be enthusiastic and dynamic, comfortableworking with students having mild to low moderate disabilities. He or sheshould be creative, well-versed in innovative in teaching practices and fluentin spoken and written English.

Pre-vocational /Vocational Training: 
The candidate is required to be responsible for planning and implementingpre-vocational / vocational skills for students in the age group of 15 to 18yrs, as well as for the development and execution of programmes in the area offunctional and independent living skills.

  • Vocational Training: Teacher Aide Programme (TAP): This programme is designed to train young adults with disabilities to aid the teachers in pre-primary and primary schools/ classes. ?The candidate should be a trained nursery or primary school teacher. Candidates with administrative background in the same will be given preference.
  • Pre Vocational Training: Catering and Home Science: Candidate should be trained in Food and Beverage Technology / Hotel Management from any reputed institution. The candidate, with the help of the Special Educator, will help students with mild to moderate disabilities train in the area of home science and catering. Minimum Experience: 2 years preferably. Current Graduates may also apply.
